Nowhere Man- The Beatles (Guitar Cover)

One of my favorite songs off of my all time favorite Beatles album- Rubber Soul. This is my first cover I am releasing with my brand new Fender Custom Shop Journeyman Sonic Blue Stratocaster!

John and George famously played the guitar solo in unison, plugged into the same Vox AC30 amplifier. They each used their matching Sonic Blue Fender Strats that they had acquired earlier in 1965, during Help!

John played the acoustic guitar on George’s 1962 Gibson J160e. I am using my 1956 Gibson J45, which is somewhat similar.

By Rubber Soul, the Beatles were dissatisfied with their sound, and were starting to experiment with different tones and textures. They asked their engineer Norman Smith to make the guitars on Nowhere Man brighter and brighter. This resulted in a very compressed and spanky sound

I am plugging my Stratocaster into my 1965 Fender Bassman amp. It's not similar to an AC30 but has a very bright and clear tone. I'm using Abbey Road plug-ins in Pro Tools to compress and equalize the sound to get closer to the original tone
