संसद का शीतकालीन सत्र नई बिल्डिंग में चलाया जा सकता है. यह इमारत तकनीक और सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से पुरानी संसद की बिल्डिंग से कहीं आगे है. यह बात रविवार को लोकसभा स्पीकर ओम बिरला ने कही. आज (19 जून) ही के दिन तीन साल पहले उन्होंने स्पीकर पद की शपथ ली थी. उन्होंने कहा कि संसद के नए भवन में हमारी कोशिश यही है कि शीतकालीन सत्र से सत्र शुरू हो जाए. नए भवन में आत्मनिर्भर भारत की तस्वीर साफ तौर से दिखाई देगी. उन्होंने कहा कि संसद का पुराना भवन भी इसका एक हिस्सा रहेगा.
