Pelosi to meet S. Korea's National Assembly Speaker Kim Jin-pyo on Thurs.

South Korean National Assembly Speaker Kim Jin-pyo is set to meet U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at parliament at 11:50 am Thursday.
According to the Speaker's office, the two will hold talks for 50 minutes to discuss a variety of topics including regional security, economic partnership, and climate change.
Also in attendance will be the floor leaders of the ruling People Power Party and the Democratic Party as well as members of the parliament's Foreign Affairs committee.
Pelosi's delegation includes House Foreign Affairs Committee chair Gregory Meeks, House Veterans' Affairs Committee chair Mark Takano and Korean American congressman Andy Kim.
The talks will be followed by a short joint briefing and a luncheon at the National Assembly.
Pelosi is then expected to head to the inter-Korean border Joint Security Area with all eyes on a potential message for North Korea.
Her trip marks the first visit by a U.S. House Speaker to Seoul in 20 years.
