Philippine Army ready to receive SPH ATMOS 2000 system from Israel

Israel has begun shipping Elbit Systems' self-propelled howitzer (SPH) system to the Philippines. This is as reported by MaxDefense Philippines.
It said the Philippine Army (PA) had been planning its procurement since 2013 to replace the aging Soltam M-71 155mm/39 towing howitzer.
The procurement of these two batteries (12 units including related support systems) is included in the Horizon Phase 2 Project with a contract value of around Php 2,386,082,313.
Regarding the ATMOS 2000 ( Autonomous Truck Mounted howitzer System ) it was originally developed by Soltam Systems before being acquired by Elbit Systems.
