Raj Thackeray: If loudspeakers can be removed in Uttar Pradesh, why not in Maharashtra?

Published
The politics over loudspeakers continue in Maharashtra as MNS chief Raj Thackeray again raked up the issue in the Aurangabad rally. He said, 'Loudspeaker is a social issue, not a religious issue. But if you give it a religious tinge, then make no mistake, we will also have to respond with a religious answer.' He also said that if loudspeakers can be removed in Uttar Pradesh why can't they be removed in Maharashtra. He warned the state government and said, 'I want to make a humble appeal to the government. Today is the first of May. Tomorrow is the second of May. 3rd is Eid. I do not want to disturb them at their festival. But I will not back down from the 4th of May.'
