Reunion with Air Force buddy after 40 years USAF Tech school War stories Guitar playing D-Lab amps

Published
A visit from my old US Air Force buddy Rex. We spent the day reminiscing about the good days as Airmen in the service. We met in the fall of 1980 at Chanute AFB, Rantoul IL. That was our Tech school where we were trained on Minuteman missiles EMT 316X0G. From there we both were reassigned to FE Warren AFB, Cheyenne, WY, our operational maintenance base. We dispatched together and made lots of long time friends living in the dorms. Then we both got orders to Vandenberg AFB, CA. Rex was always into playing music. He specializes on the Banjo & Ukulele, however is very good with electric guitars. I was running a stereo repair shop out of my dorm room. Was not repairing guitar amps back then. Then the years went by. I have always wanted to send Rex a D-Lab amp, however did not know what he desired in a amp. So, this visit gave me to opportunity to put the right one in his hand. We spent hours in the shop. Killed a few bottles of Robert Mondavi, Told lots of stories, Discussed our dispatching days. I really had to edit the video to capture the best moments. Please take a look at Rex's channel, help support his quest. I sure miss those USAF days. See: https://www.youtube.com/user/Jazzbanjorex
