In this short final video I finish the refurb of this classic amplifier. Ser # 0001524 Power up and clean up.
Still have a slight hum from this amp.

Working with high voltage is potentially lethal! Care must be taken.
The chemicals found in these old capacitors are potentially dangerous. Correct gloves and eyewear are highly recommended if you wish to open these up. Always wash your hands and dispose of the old parts correctly. Some non electrolytic capacitors may contain PCB chemicals which are hazardous to health.

This push pull amp is considered one of the best of it's type. The PX4 valves being very well regarded. The desire for these amps has unfortunately led to many of the lovely radiograms that hold them being smashed up.

As I want to actually use this amp, I try and keep it's originality but also get it to a working condition. Trying to tread the line between repair and restoration.
Please note I am not expert in amp repair and this is just my experience, mistakes and all.
Video for information only.
