SONY DTC-700 - how to re-index music tracks after recording ?

This time I'm testing this SONY DTC-700 direct drive digital audio tape deck. I will try to explain how to index or re-index (renumber) recorded tracks, let's say you recorded concert as a single audio track and you want to index it, so each track would end up with a Program Number just like on CD.

This device is working great except for the sluggish rewind at the beginning of the longer tape, on short tapes works fine?
