After time, vehicles need maintenance. This turbocharged 2.0 Hyundai Genesis was in need of a tune up. I started off by removing the valve cover and then proceeded to take off the rtv found where the front timing chain cover meets the block. Always re-rtv that area as it's prone to create a oil leak. A quick change of the spark plugs and gapping to spec before install. From there a quick oil change, always filling the new oil filter with fresh oil and a dab of oil around the oil seal to prevent the oil filter from seizing up prematurely. Premature seizing will prevent the proper torque, possibly causing a leak later.
