SPARKLES AND STANGS: Turning Old Wood into Something New

Published
Ever since we opened the shop in 2012, faithfully restoring vintage guitars has been a cornerstone of what we do. Sometimes, we find guitars that are so far removed from their original context –– stripped finishes, chiseled routs, missing hardware, and changed electronics –– that it gives us creative license to create something we've never seen before using those old, neglected parts.

The process is painstaking and involves many of our favorite artists, from bodywork and refinishes, to components and fretwork. We couldn't be more proud of these rescues of ours, nor of the folks who've put their time, effort, and care into making something truly special with us.
