Team Thackeray continues the fight back, issuing directions to their MLAs to be present for the crucial election for the Assembly Speakers' post on Sunday. The election is crucial as the Speaker will decide on the no trust vote against the Shinde camp on Monday. It will pitch Sena MLA Rajan Salvi for the Speakers' post against BJP's Rahul Narwekar. All parties have issued whips for the Speakers' election. The Speaker will play a crucial role in ultimately deciding the fate of the Maharashtra government. It is the Speaker who will take a call on whether the rebels can be suspended for anti-party activities. That is the reason both sides are first ensuring their speaker.
