The Delco Bose Gold stereo system was a major upgrade to the Corvette when it was introduced on the C4 Corvette in 1984. Sold as an upgrade option to the base Delco AM/FM stereo system, it utilized specially designed speakers and enclosures to provide a "concert hall" like performance.

Even though this system was head and shoulders above the previous stereo installed in the Corvettes, it is not without its issues and critics.

Watch as I give a basic overview of the system and its components, and describe how the design aided in a truly great audio experience. I will also detail some of the shortcomings of the system and whether or not staying with the factory original components may not always be the easiest decision.
