The most versatile rig for any live show | Guitar, pedals + amp tips with Leigh Fuge at #42GSThree

Published
If you needed a guitar rig that was versatile enough to play everything from Dua Lipa to Metallica – and everything in-between – in one two-hour set, what gear would you choose?

That’s the question I wanted to answer in this video, and so I enlisted my good friend – and guitar covers band veteran – Leigh Fuge to join me at 42 Gear Street three to pick out a rig that’d be (relatively) affordable, exceptionally versatile, highly reliable, and great sounding.

OK, we had to lose the affordable part slightly – 42GS wasn’t really an event full of budget brands – but we managed to pick out a guitar, a clean platform amp and a handful of FX pedals that can cover any musical base extremely well.

Watch Leigh’s vlog where we pick the gear and talk in more detail about why here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm9o1aK7pLE

And while a PJD Guitars Woodford Standard and a Tone King amp coupled with pedals from Wampler, Walrus Audio and J Rockett might not be the cheapest you can get it in the real world, don’t forget that you could easily substitute in other similar guitars, pedals and amps for less money no problem – this video is about the principle of finding an all-encompassing rig!

Here’s the links to the various parts of the video:
