The Rising Stars live in concert Wolphaartsdijk

After a long while with no gigs we were asked to play on the ´open podium´ at Herberg De Griffioen in Wolphaartsdijk (Netherlands) as closing act. The wife of our drummer Igor is recently passed away in august after a long illness at 58 years young. Her wish was that he should play at the gig on september eleven. Igor was strong enough to do it, with tears in his eyes. Our song 'Strait of Bali' was dedicated to his wife Corry, it was her favourite...

The Rising Stars is an instrumental group based in Holland. Two Dutch brothers formed as guitarists the band with two guys from Indonesian origine as the rhythm section. The sound is inspired by the early Sixties instrumentals with influences from all over the world.
