ThorpyFX Scarlet Tunic (Selmer in a box)

The Scarlet Tunic is Thorpy’s take on what many consider THE Syd Barrett amp: the Selmer Treble and Bass 50. In fact, the project all started when Lee Harris who plays in Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, needed a pedal to handle the pre-Dark Side tones! Just like the real deal, ThorpyFX’s Scarlet Tunic employs a transformer for amp-like sag and power amp saturation while the internal voltage doubling provides huge headroom to take on any pedals that need a little interstellar overdrive. In addition to those striking Selmer sounds, this analog amp emulator eases into Vox chime and Hiwatt headroom thanks to 3 selectable gain levels in the Sensitivity switch. To select the master character, choose from the 3-way Deep and Bright toggles, then use the Bass and Treble controls to fine tune their range. Top it off with as little or as much Presence to enhance upper mids and help the Tunic ease into other classic British amp tones.
