Trying to make a Long Wave radio converter 150 KC-280 KC part 2: overview and principles

Trying to make a radio converter to receive radio stations in the Low Frequency radio band, going from 150 KC up to 280 KC. There are many circuits on the www, but I want to receive these radio stations via a converter with a “help” oscillator.


Many circuits are not made in that way and perhaps there is no need to take this (read: my) more complicated approach (compared direct reception) but anyway. Perhaps I even have to turn back to direct reception during this project/process.


The idea is: place the converter next to a cheap MW radio and receive the Low Frequency radio stations with the help of that converter, specially made to receive 150 KC up to 280 KC. In electronics and especially experimental radio electronics “nothing” is sure, so it can mean that this (my) project fails. Anyway: also in that case I have given good basic information.


Important: the 150 KC-280 KC radio band suffers from severe disturbances due to electric household devices, disturbances on the mains electrical net, be it 110 V or 230 V or 50 Hertz or 60 Hertz, etc. So perhaps I have to need an outdoor antenna to get the purest reception, connected via a coax cable to the converter. Anyway: all interesting things to discover.

There are more than 1200 Video’s on my YT channel. I keep all my YT videos constant actual, so the original video’s with the most recent information are always on YouTube. Search there, and avoid my circuits that are republished, re-arranged, re-edited on other websites, giving not probable re-wiring, etc. Some persons try to find gold via my circuits.
