Tweed Bassman 212, modded and repaired.. DEMO

Published
Completely rebuilt the amps fiber board preamp and power amp circuits, new normal channel to a British style tone stack that uses a 12ax7 and the bright channel to the more correct Bassman style circuit, both channels rebuilt with the highest quality poly capacitors and high grade resistors. Installed a push pull channel combine switch on the first channel volume control and a push pull bright on the bright channel volume control,Master volume where the ground switch was and I installed a solid state rectifier circuit and a switch to choose either SS or tube rectifier, installed a high gain preamp switch under the chassis by the preamp tubes, installed the Raw/ EQ out with adjustable boost footswitch. Replaced and upgraded the input jacks with new Switchcraft jacks and a higher grade input resistors.
Completely reworked the amps ground structure and removing the many ground loops and long wired runs to ground also using shielded wiring where possible that greatly improved the noise problems. Plus the addition of chassis ground shielding on the amps back panel and repositioning the amps chassis correctly in the cabinet.
The amp will accept pedals much better now and virtually any type of distortion is attainable from mild breakup to full blown tweed break up, vintage Marshall to high gain distortions and of course the classic clean tube tones sound great through the amps two Weber Alnico 12” speakers, this iPhone video and my playing .. doesn’t do it Justice..
