Two Brutal Guitar Amps At The Same Time

Published
A fender m-80 with an old blue mxr 6 band with scooped mids in the effects loop and a boss super overdrive as a boost. The second amp is a crate TDP preamp into a peavey 50/50. The signal was split with a VHT valvulator and each cab is miced with an SM-57. The speaker in the m-80 cab is stock and the speaker miced in the marshall is a G1265 from 1980. The crate has a much quicker response time in the palm mutes than the fender m-80. The m-80 is more brutal but slightly lacks the extremely tight pick attack that the crate has. Together this is the tone you get. There are no eq's or effects being used in the daw. Both amps are roughly equal volume. Each take was recorded with both amps at the same time. I panned take one both amps hard left and take two both amps panned hard right.
