Universal Audio Dream '65 Reverb Amp - A Tube Amp Purist's Review

It's no secret that I love tube amps. There's something mystical about the way century-old technology still sounds (and feels) the best for guitarists like us. But every year amp modelling technology seems to get better and better, and it's just a matter of time before digital amps become indistinguishable from the real thing.

In this video, I'll be taking the Universal Audio Dream '65 Reverb Amp for a spin. It's not the first amp modeller I've used, but it's the first one I've paid money for. We'll see how it sounds paired up with different pedals as well as different guitars. At the end of the video, we'll even stack it up against my mic'd up Dr. Z EZG-50.

If Blackface Fender amps aren't your thing, Universal Audio has also released the Ruby (Vox AC30) and the Woodrow (Fender Tweed), so they might be worth taking a look at.
