Watch: Romualdez takes oath as House Speaker

Leyte 1st district Rep. Martin Romualdez, a first cousin of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., was elected as the new Speaker of the House of Representatives as the 19th Congress opened Monday.

Majority of the congressmen voted for Romualdez. Meanwhile, Gabriela Party-list Rep. Arlene Brosas, ACT-TEACHERS Party-list Rep. France Castro, OFW Party-list Rep. Marissa Magsino, and Kabataan Party-list Rep. Raoul Manuel abstained from voting.

Romualdez was the House Majority Leader in the 18th Congress.
