What is the Connect for Cancer Prevention Study?

Published
The Connect for Cancer Prevention Study is a new research study from the National Cancer Institute (NCI), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), to explore the causes of cancer and learn how to better prevent it. NCI has partnered with nine health care systems across the U.S. to recruit participants for Connect. We are asking people between the ages of 40 and 65 with no history of cancer to join the study. Connect will include people from different places and backgrounds so that our research discoveries can benefit all communities. Over time, participants will answer health surveys, donate biological samples, and share access to their electronic health records. We expect Connect to go on for decades, and for this research to inform new approaches in the prevention and early detection of cancer. Learn more about the study and how to join by visiting cancer.gov/connect-prevention-study.
