worth it.

this is my first yamaha receiver. previously used pioneer elite and onkyo. this sounds so much better - i won't try to get into audiophile craziness, but it absolutely sounds so much better than my previous setups. similar power out, similar noise and THD specs, but the sound is just so much better. i'm using it in my living room with a 3.2.2 setup and the quality of sound in movies is spectacular. i spent time on my previous setup to tweak EQ and was never *thrilled* with it. one day it overheated and died, so i purchased this. right out of the box it sounded spectacular - i'm not going to spend any time trying to improve it. i'm now in camp yamaha and won't be going back.
